    The Safety Supervisor will report to their respective HSE Manager and will be responsible for providing all necessary advice, services, and support to management in the areas of Health, Safety and Environmental. This is an onshore based position located in Houston, TX.




    The Safety Supervisor will:

    • Provide advice and liase with management and colleagues in the planning, coordination, documentation and maintenance of an effective Safety and Environmental Management System
    • Participate in the development, maintenance and training for facility specific HSE cases
    • Perform routine HSE audits as required by policy
    • Work to support all departments and offshore units concerning regulatory compliance matters and all issues affecting HSE
    • Create and deliver HSE related presentations
    • Monitor HSE metrics and trends
    • Participate to complete bid tenders
    • Assist in the development of facility specific HSE plans, goals, and objectives
    • Develop and maintain goals to support the company’s mission and for professional development
    • Supervise, evaluate, and counsel Safety Department Representatives
    • Perform HSE on-call duty responsibilities as required
    • Support or lead incident investigations and develop incident investigation reports
    • Support facilities in regards to regulatory compliance and client requirements
    • Liaise with the client as required in regards to HSE matters
    • Travel domestically, internationally and offshore as required to support HSE operations
    • Maintain all requirements to travel offshore
    • Maintain a working knowledge of software that is used in our HSE systems
    • Participate fully in all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and safety programs
    • Follow Diamond Offshore Global Excellence Management System (GEMS)
    • Perform other duties as required




    • At least 18 years of age
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
    • Possess or able to obtain a valid passport
    • Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited university
    • Possess or able to obtain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC).  Visit the TSA website for more information
    • Able to fulfill a rotational role, if required
    • 3 or more years of experience in an onshore/ offshore HSE related field.


    • Professional certification related to HSE
    • Possess occupational health or emergence medical certification
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
