    Responsibilities:

    The Training Specialist Drilling will report to the Manager of Learning and Development and is responsible for the development and delivery of internal training and development programs, in addition to operation and maintenance of full scale simulators used in training delivery.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    The Training Specialist may:

    • Deliver internal courses including, but not limited to:
      • Introductory, Driller and Supervisory Level WellSharp Courses
    • Develop training material
    • Design and delivery of simulator exercises
    • Assist in maintaining accreditations or approvals of courses delivered
    • Maintenance of simulator equipment
    • Participate fully in all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and safety programs
    • Follow Diamond Offshore Global Excellence Management System (GEMS)
    • Perform other duties as required

    Qualifications:

    Basic

    • At least 18 years of age
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
    • Must meet the experience/education requirements for becoming a Supervisor Level WellSharp Instructor
    • Willing and able to travel internationally and domestically for business purposes
    • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

    Preferred

    • Bachelor’s degree with technical or adult education focus from an accredited university
    • Experience in design and implementation of innovative training solutions
    • Possession of a valid USCG Able Seaman MMD
    • Possession of a valid Crane Operator license
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
